I know, but I'd like for cC to at least get it's feet wet in the rapids that is comp play. Who knows, maybe we could do this every season and make more teams under other names. I'd like for this to catch on, I guess.

do you guys think we should get a sponsor for our team? there are a few different gaming communities looking for teams to sponsor and it might do us some good to have another server to practice on instead of locking one of our own servers.

We're short a demo now since doghouse decided to be a soldier.

Also, I don't really think we need a sponsor to practice on a server. When we're not practicing on our servers, we could practice on TF2Lobby.

i noticed spleenter is on the roster aswell.

as i was looking around i found a few things:

The Sandman, The Wrangler, and Natasha are banned from this competition.
Everything else is legal.

Everyone needs to become familiar on how to use CEVO's Cheat Detection application, because it is required to play in the matches.

How Scoring for each game type goes:

CTF scoring - Two 20 minute rounds; most points after two rounds wins.
KOTH scoring - 3 points by one team per half; first to 4 points wins the match.
Push scoring - 4 points by one team or 30 minutes per half; first to 5 points wins the match.
Stopwatch scoring - Both teams will attack and defend up to three times; the team wins who attacks faster twice.

All i can say is best of luck to those who to participate. i would gladly play as demoman if i wasnt going to be out of town at Wizard World Chicago that weekend of CEVO's playoffs. Pisses me off, but i gotta be there so sorry. Hope u guys do well.

The CEVO config files (the ones that limit teams and set all the CVARs) are on both the servers. A high admin should be able to execute these but I think I'll need to add them to the menu to do it without typing it in console.

Second team is pretty much disbanded, I guess, seeing as how there's only 2 or 3 of you left.

Tampa, since you wanted to be demo on the second team and we need one, how about signing up on the CEVO website and joining the main team? Join password is still "chaos".

Also, everyone on the main team needs to add their steam ID to something. When you sign in, click on "My Account" under the Counter-Strike: Source tab. Under that, click "Unique Game IDs".

Scroll down to Team Fortress 2 and add your steam ID there. Click "Update Unique IDs" and you're done. Everyone needs to do this or you can't participate. Didn't notice that before, but read through the rules and noticed that... My bad...

I can be a backup as a Soldier (roam or pocket) or a Demo. I'm not a bad medic and I'm an okay scout as well if need be.

I won't be able to play at all next week but everything else should be okay. Advanced notice (at least a few hours) would be ideal since I do have a life but I should be pretty available.

I don't think you guys need to be signing up on the CEVO team when you don't even know if your team works yet. Practice, experiment with different team combos, scrim against other comp teams, and THEN when you think you're good enough with your best team combo start setting up your CEVO team.
