Here is a question (Sorry to interrupt bigjohn)

I don’t think you’re interrupting Liquid,
The Secretary of the Navy is the person who ultimately assigns an official name to a vessel. I do not profess to know what the specific reason was in this particular case, but would surmise it to be a worthy honor for such a technological achievement –and-it being the lead vessel in its class would make it doubly deserving of such a great patriot to America.

Alright I am stumped on number 10 I need a hint. At least tell me what era this guy is from. there are a lot of gun designers and this might narrow the search. Otherwise I will just start naming random people.
At least I don't have flies in my eyes.

I'm going to shotgun this one!
Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,

Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

Not the answer I was looking for, but I'll accept it. ENJOY YOUR VIRTUAL BEER!

Below is the answer I was looking for
George Washington was a class of submarine that was later given the nickname of "Boomer" to it's design. Many variations came. The most famous being the Russian Typhoon class, which was the largest class of nuclear submarines ever built. Why they where called boomers was simply because they shot bombs that went "boom". As this is hard to illustrate here are some pictures.
Here's a boomer. Notice how the missiles shoot upwards. It is a ballistic missile system that can be used for sea to land, and other things

Here is a picture of one of the largest submarines aver made. The Russian Typhoon class submarine. Also a "Boomer"

I’ve got to admit that I’m impressed with the sharp minds here that have accepted my challenges. So, in light of the esprit de corps of our warriors present, I now submit to you round three…. Even harder yet!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

1.) What were the names of the three American carriers present at the battle of Midway?

2.) Which battle would history remember as “The Alamo of the Pacific?”

3.) Which American WW II Submarine effected the only international submarine to submarine rescue of a foreign nations sub?

4.) In an effort to initiate a series of events which I believed would bring about peace with England, I, the third in command of Nazi Germany, jumped into a twin engine bomber to negotiate with a British Duke whom I believed would overthrow Winston Churchill, which would set forward a chain of events that allow the full force on the German Military to concentrate an attack on the Soviet Union. Who am I?

5.) I was a German scientist who was the program director for the V-2 rocket. Despite my collaboration with the Nazi’s, after being liberated by allied forces near the end of the war I was taken to America where my skills, knowledge & experience were recognized, eventually culminating the development of the Saturn V, the Rocket which took the astronauts to the moon. Who Am I?

6.) Most people have heard the full name of the cartridge “9mm Parabellum” But how does “Parabellum” best translate into English?

7.) What was the only STATE of the United States of America, to be attacked by foreign infantry during the 20th century?

8.) The airplane “Box Car” is preserved as a historical artifact at the United States Air Force Museum dear Dayton Ohio. What did this aircraft do to make so famous?

9.) This major and decisive battle was fought two weeks AFTER the signing of the Treaty of Ghent, the treaty which formally ended the war.

10.) After being fitted with external drop tanks, this fighter plane changed the course of WW II by being able to escort the larger bombers all the way to Berlin and back.

I can only answer 7.
It was Alaska, less of an attack and more of a failed diversion
