well the contest is just a picture. nothing more like a full blown map.

Well, you have to submit a good quality pic, but it should be judged by people walking around it and looking at details, not the pic.

I've started one just because it's fun to do a little detailing and not worry about a full blown map.
Who knows, maybe it'll turn into another unfinished arena map

But its a small area so I'd have to double it, then copy/paste mirror.

They aren't 'playbale' maps although you can go in them and look around.

It's a beauty contest just to promote the swamp theme.

The given area 2048x2048 is actually pretty small. I think a small arena map would be 4 times that size.

before i further read the rules a while back i started drawing out a design but then i was like hold on.. 2048x2048?! i cant fit it in there! oh oh.. ohhhhhhhhhhhh.. rawfull. im getting my drawing teacher to help me out since he knows alot about enviroments and my mom aswell.
