Anyone currently studying art?

I finally broke down and became an art major. I think I am going to do art history, becuase it will go well with my anthropology degree, but I love studio art. Anyone else going to school for an art degree?

its just hard to read, but you only need to worry about the edit I made.

I'm majoring in art. Though Im not sure if I want to (lots of work) but its too late to change now. Lots of drawing to constantly do for homework. Latest assignment is to animate a pillow walking. if you're going to major into art, you better make sure you like it a LOT. It can't just be a hobby, it has to be a passion.

Im starting to feel like like drawing is more of a chore you know, but that's just my opinion.

Hanzo, I hear that. I think that was how my brother was starting to feel when he decided to drop out of MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design). I am thinking of going into Art History. I'd like to work in a museum someday, making displays and such. Seems like a good combination for my interest in art and anthropology.
I love studio art, but I know I couldn't do it for a living. It's deffinately a passion, but I'm just good enough at any one thing to make a living at it.

I was thinking about studying art. I took a studio media class this year which taught the basics of photoshop & illustrator, both of which I enjoyed more so than the film portion of the class. But christ, I could barely come in with anything good. All of my work was rushed because of damned dead lines and I had to cut corners so many times in my pieces that they just plain sucked. Then I found that I learned more in an hour of reading online tuts than 3 months of actual structured classes. *sigh* Well, elective wasted, but at least it got me interested in photoshop (really wishing I spent the extra coin for illustrator though) and I sure as hell not gonna take another art elective.
