Stock Server Running HLstatsX:CE

I have added HLstatsX:CE to the Stock server. I will be pulling the rank information into the forum profiles and homepage at some point, but for now you can look at all the rank information at http://gaming.calculatedchaos.com/tf2stats/.

I am open to discussion about weather or not we keep the stats plugin. I am generally against spamming chat with messages and forcing things on our users, but I believe there are settings I can tweak to alleviate some of these problems. For instance, I know I can globally kill all the messages so that the server silently tracks the data without spamming the chat. I would rather this was a user setting. I don't fully understand all the commands yet, but will write up a detailed explanation and add in-game help messages shortly.

For now, here is a dump of the chat commands:
hlx_menu: HLstatsX Ingame Menu
rank [skill, points]: Current position
kpd [kdratio]: Total player statistics
session: Current session statistics
next: Players ahead in the ranking.
hlx_display 0|1: Enable or disable displaying console events.
hlx_chat 0|1: Enable or disable the displaying of global chat events (I think this is the chat message user setting).
status: Current server status
servers: List of all participating servers
top20 [top5, top10]: Top-Players
clans: Clan ranking
cheaters: Banned players from Valve-Anti-Cheat
statsme: Statistic summary
weapons [weapon]: Weapons usage
accuracy: Weapons accuracy
targets [target]: Targets hit positions
kills [kill, player_kills]: Kill statistics (5 or more kills)
actions [action]: Server actions summary
help [cmd, cmds, commands]: Help screen

What does this mean exactly? Does it just say if someone is admin?

It gives you the rank of your clan, based on clan tag. Right now the only clan we have listed is •cC•, but you can see the fill list here: http://gaming.calculatedchaos.com/tf2st ... ns&game=tf

I don't like this plugin because it encourages players to get a better K/D ratio, rather than working as a team. But since I don't visit the stock server all that much, who cares.

You get points for capping the point, extinguishing players, moving the cart, etc. Pretty much for everything you can do to help the team.

That should help a bit. Also, people that care about K/D are always constantly checking how they are doing in a round. Steam keeps track of the same stats across all servers. We are just logging it for our server specifically.

On this one ranked server, I stay in one spot and snipe people with a black box. My soldier K/D ratio is golden there.

You can get points much faster from being a good teammate than going for kills (unless you're farming them kills ofcourse.)

A good update to the server IMO. Will strive people that care about their rank to play harder and more within the guidelines of a good teammate instead of rambo. The text messages can get annoying but I'm pretty sure I've seen mods online by people to disable the messages.

From the /hlx menu you can do just about anything. Chat is disabled with the first option on the second page.
