Dishonored by Arkane Studios (Bethesda)

Unread post by Original »

This was just announced, sounds like it's gonna be a cool game.

I've done mod work with a couple of the mappers on the project. They're both pretty talented. This is Digi's first Pro-title but Purah got to work on Might and Magic and Arx Fatalis before this.

Doesn't tell a lot but sounds like it'll be a very cool first person shooter/sneaker.
This would be worth money if you had it in writing

GameInformer wrote:Arkane Studios and founder Raf Colantonio have made memorable games in the past (Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic) that ultimately suffered from a lack of publisher support. Bethesda Softworks believes in their vision and is giving them all the time, money, and development help (regular meetings with guys like The Elder Scrolls' Todd Howard don't make your game worse) they need. Harvey Smith, one of the main minds behind the first two Deus Ex games and a legendary veteran of game development, shares the vision and is on board as Dishonored's co-creative director along with Colantonio. Viktor Antonov designed Half-Life 2's iconic City 17 and is lending his talents to Dishonored's world. This is a perfect storm for creating a game that shatters the mold that first-person action games have built for themselves in the mainstream.

Speaking of dream teams, anyone remember the name of that RPG they were making with Todd Howard and the guy who drew Spawn? That shit looked fantastic and I can't remember what it's called for the life of me...

Not all dream teams make the best stuff.

Remember the Expendables?

It's not so much that I have a hard on for dream teams, it was more because that the game was set to be the bastard child of God of War and Oblivion, and it's gonna have some of Todd MacFarlane's dark artwork. I found out that it's called Kingdoms of Alamur: Reckoning, if anyone cares.

Also, please drop the Expendables comment guys, we already have one thread of people ripping Tampa a new asshole.

That was only Viano, plus Bishop took my side.
