Mayhem at the Middle East!
Mayhem at the Middle East!
I think the people here have some knowledge of the conflict in Egypt about how everyone is rebelling over dictatorship and over the weekend that police in Egypt have disbanded creating even more chaos. America (some of you may care or not but, when it's us it will be Canada next) Al Quaeda ( I am not sure if i spelled that right but I will just refer to them as "Terrorists")
This is how it's gonna go down Egypt is out of a government, so the "Terrorists" are going in for the kill to ninja their way into the government. Egypt has been our ally against the fight of Terrorism and a terrorist government WON'T help us shocking isn't it? Egypt will or already has a civil war in their hands. What do you think of the problem? Does America have enough problems such as guarding the border between North Korea and South Korea because of the war going on there? or America does what America always does stick their noses into places that is not needed as usual...

No, I am say saying if the government of Egypt falls terrorists are going to attempt of controlling Egypt. I'm not saying they are terrorists, I'm just saying the wrong person might be "elected" to be the leader of Egypt and cause more oppression for the people.
The Koreas are technically not in a war but, apparently North Korea sunk a submarine from South Korea and bombarded civilian territory, troops are there from America ( I don't know why in the hell we would be there) because we want North Korea to disarm their nuclear weapons or somewhere around the there.

It would be possible for a religious fanatic to get elected, but unlikely, even more unlikely for a member of Al Qaeda to get elected as they are largely rural and thus largely illiterate.Ohnoez wrote:I think the people here have some knowledge of the conflict in Egypt about how everyone is rebelling over dictatorship and over the weekend that police in Egypt have disbanded creating even more chaos. Right now the protests are more or less peaceful, since more protesters are getting killed than police. Also in a rebellion such as this, it should be noted that many people already have a replacement in mind. There is speculation that the new leader may be a former UN ambassador from Egypt, so it'd very very difficult for anyone to ninja their way into government. The only religious political group that has so much as a chance is The Muslim Brotherhood http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_Brotherhood
Also it is kind of the US's business, because Egypt is essentially a US puppet. Mubarak was put in 30 years ago (Correct me If I'm wrong), which would be the 1980's when the US was busy manipulating the world to attempt to contain communism, and the USSR was in Afghanistan. The puppet has outlived its purpose but it doesn't stop it from being our business.
The US is, despite the protesters wanting us to live up to our word of spreading democracy, staying out of it and is letting things take their natural course.
Who knows, this may be a better way to stop a dictatorship then sending troops in and wasting money.
That is, do nothing and wait for people to get fed up.

Actually the Korean War hasn't ended yet technically. It was only a ceasefire.
EDIT: Protests not exactly peaceful anymore,

Re: Mayhem at the Middle East!
i've been listening to Al Jazeera English and its absolutely frightening to hear the reporter there almost on the verge of crying asking why he just can't leave and stop the hell going on. i hope he gets assassinated successfully soon -_- all this violence and death just for him to simply step down? what a freaking stupid "leader" astagfirullah.
this pisses me off. just as much as the israel and palestine conflict. and everything else. ¬_¬

make up your mindThe Koreas are technically not in a war
they may technically be in a war, but I refuse to believe it is a full-scale conflict. If there really was a war going on, South Korea and it's allies (ie everyone) would swiftly crush North Korea.
Re: Mayhem at the Middle East!
technically it is our business.
America is paying Egypt (muburack specifically) 1.5 billion a year to stay at peace with Israel how also gets a large sum of cash yearly from us.
Egypt is I think the 2nd largest purchaser of US weapons, those tear gas cans that have 'made in the USA' on them. hmmm, I can understand the people of Egypt not having a great view of the USA.
But to say that removing Mubarack would be bad because the people might end up under another oppressive rule? They HAVE been oppressed for 30 years (at least), can it get worse?
A few days ago I thought we should just watch, hopefully let the Egyptians solve this themselves. But now I think it's time for Uncle Sam to intervene, people are starting to be silenced (aka murdered by the govt), reporters are being arrested, supplies cut off...
We act now when people are there to rise up and things will end well.
If we wait things are going to get real ugly, really fast and there will be no turning back.
Down with the oppressors, off with their heads!

I think most of the middle east...world.. has a negative view towards America tbh -_- and if we do stick our noses into their issues like in other countries they'll hate us more, but if it'll stop the violence and rid of mubarak, hell yeah.Original wrote:technically it is our business.

also i think the Vice President Mubarak appointed lately (apparently he hasn't appointed a VP in 30 years!) is another bloody idiot that will probably be as bad as him. http://www.commondreams.org/view/2011/01/30-2 ..so i think it can get worse, but right now in order to the the egyptian people to calm the hell down Mubarak really needs to resign...NOW. they won't stop till he leaves. he thinks there will be more chaos if he does leave.. which seems plausible. people are damn crazy ._. the place isn't even safe enough for Friday prayers, everyone was told to pray in their houses instead -_-''

Sadly, I highly doubt this will happen. It's been 50 years, it's a bit more then temporary. I'm not asking you to be technical, I'm asking you to make sense. You say that they're not shooting, but you say gun fire and explosions are going off this moment?Ohnoez wrote: it's a temporary cease fire how technical do you want me to be? It's not a war, there are no armies marching towards one another, no big naval battles, no POWs, and minimal death and destruction. A cease-fire isn't a war, it is a cease-fire.
Why am I even arguing with you didn't you say you were just starting high school?

Perhaps I should've clarified. I ment until shit for him gets ugly.giggles wrote:

Bare in mind, we aint exactly talking about Mother Teresa here. We're talking about a man, from my limited understanding, undermined democratic principals and lied on a daily basis for 30 years so he can stay in power. I'm no detective, but it's same to assume Mubarak is kinda a selfish prick, and I would go even further to say he's a coward. True, it's sometimes hard to imagine that guys like Mubarak can live with themselves after watching innocents die because of his actions. But, lo and behold, Mubarak doesn't give 2 shits.
So until he feels his own power, or god permitting, life is viably threatened, dude ain't going no where. And seeing how there is now a very convient pro-government force out there now, he's gonna be sitting pretty until this all blows over or until his head is on a pike. Presumably he does this while eating puppies and wiping his ass with the Egyptian Democratic Constitution, presuming that they have one.
Also, stop talking about the Koreans damnit, one shitstorm at a time guys.
