Re: TF2 Game Menu
I don't think the reserve slots are working for anyone. I'll take a look tonight if i get some time.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Reserved slots haven't been working for... at least a month, for me.
Life is whatever.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
I would say more than a month for me, I remember the server being full after the slots were increased due to a donation from Wolfmaster, and I remember being able to get into the admin slot. But I would say for the last 2 or 3 months its always said dropped due to admin slot reservation and I check and 99% of the time it is full, e.g.25/25 and not 26/25. SO I've not idea when it actually stopped working, maybe an update borked it and we never noticed there was some thing you had to change to make it work again.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
I've been using that mod since I saw the new menu. Anyone got a way to fix the dashed lines from being clickable?Divine Fate wrote:This mod is the closest thing out there to the old game menu; it's very well done.Incredible Spycrab wrote:Is there any way I can get my old menu back? Indeed.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Alright, spycrab and anyone else that wants to know, you can add this to the bottom of the gamemenu.res file in this mod to add cC buttons (open gamemenu.res with notepad or wordpad):Divine Fate wrote:This mod is the closest thing out there to the old game menu; it's very well done.Incredible Spycrab wrote:Is there any way I can get my old menu back? Code: Select all
"#"
{
"label" "calculatedChaos funServer"
"command" "engine connect 216.52.143.45:27015"
}
"#"
{
"label" "calculatedChaos customMaps"
"command" "engine connect 216.52.143.91:27015"
}

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Oh, and to speedblader, you can make the lines unclickable by going into gamemenu.res and finding the sections where those lines are, then removing command " " from under them. (Again, use wordpad)

Re: TF2 Game Menu
I have already tried that. It simply removed the lines completely.FlaminSarge wrote:Oh, and to speedblader, you can make the lines unclickable by going into gamemenu.res and finding the sections where those lines are, then removing command " " from under them. (Again, use wordpad)

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Ah, ok. Mainmenuoverride.res might contain a solution, probably the ability to position menu items. Or you could separate the labels by changing the ------ to just a blank space. That would create separations. But deleting them is the best bet for not borking TF2 (like rudedogs pic )

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Thanks Captain, are the reserve slots working for either server? And does it include the Match server?

I don't think the match server is around anymore and I'm not entirely sure about the reserved slots. I'll look tonight.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
Fair dos, I don't think I used it anyway. The reserve slots thing was a pain for me cos I always had to get an admin on the server to kick someone to let me in.
P.S. I'm getting new computer hardware tomorrow, so I might have it all set up and gaming by next week, meaning loads more frames and hopefully no losing connection to Steam VAC servers while playing TF2 since I think my PC's speed is the problem with that.
PPS. Any ideas on the best way to transfer my Steam games, with about 10Gb worth of Games to download it's gonna take an age on 2-3Mb broadband at the best of times. Obviously maps are all in the steamapps folder but if there is a way to maybe not have to download everything that'd be great.

Re: TF2 Game Menu
capn, the gamemenu.res file should now overlap into that store preview thing that they added o.O I'll look into separate buttons next to the "Start Playing" tab thing.
EDIT: This one should include the store button, but may still have the overlap.
