I'd like to claim the second floor room 22, as I currently live in room 222.

I can't say I'll be able to make it myself, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the more complex features of hammer, any one got any tips?

To Fireproof: Here's a tip. Dont make it complex. I'm trying to read day-long tutorials on how to use Blender (a modelling tool) so i can make my own custom props such as beds, chairs, etc. IT IS A BITCH! I suggest keep it simple, but make it unique. If you know how to make custom textures or stuff like that then be my guess. It's your map after all.

I wanted to learn how to map but i dont know what i need to map and i'd be very helpful if someone could teach me how to map, cause i really want to learn and i want to have a room in this hotel
oh and if i learn how to make maps, ill take rooms 17 and 18, and if i cant take 2 ill take room #17 Floor 2

deadeye: you can do a lot with one room. Hell i just finished my bed and will be gettin screens of that soon. The bed itself has a secret on it plus some others i might or might not reveal. So if you have a lot of ideas in mind, then go nuts with 2 rooms. I would like to see how that goes.

but the idea i have with the 2 rooms is that the wall can break between them and the rooms them selves will be half a room and when you break the wall you would get the whole room

im encountering a problem when i run a test of the map some of the stuff i put in (or should i say most) is not even there is there a fix for this? help?

You can't run the map as is. You have to put a box around it. It doesn't seal the way I gave it to you. Also, you'd have to be more specific.

Got a question. When i run test, my prop_details (comps, tables, HL2 train chairs) dont show up but my bed will. This probably leads to the other guy's problem. Elaborate more plz on the whole "drawing a box over it" technique.

I've tried making a room on my own and I really cannot do it for my life.

Is it possible that someone could make a basic room for me?
Just a room with some posters on the wall of images I PM you and maybe a trap door or two.
