i got about 17 dollars to blow on my amazon account
is there any good game for my comp i should get that would cost around 17 bucks?
but not too violent
my parents would flip out

If we knew what sort of games you were into then it might be easier to find something you might like. Obviously its not gonna be a really violent game we suggest, but it really depends on what you like as to what game or games we recommend. There is Sid Meiers Civilization IV: Complete for $12.89 but you might be able to get it cheaper on Steam, it doesn't have all the Civilization Games either which is annoying. There is also Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 for $13.10 which is tricky to learn all the different factions but otherwise a good game, it's also on Steam. Sim City 4: Deluxe Version for $14.95. There's also Fallout 3 for $16.99 but whether its too violent I'm not sure. Have a look yourself and let us know what type of games you like.

Silent Hill isn't actually that bad. It's mostly physcological horror. Some blood, but not too bad.
Also Bioshock isnt violent at all. I say you go for it. =D
