I saw this movie opening day, and in 3-D
originally i had my doubts about it as i had heard it was plot wise almost identical to dances with wolves and ferngully

this movie was fucking great, the effects them selves were fucking amazing(they better be for the amount they spent on them) the 3-D wasn't forced all the scenes that actually used it seemed natural. Its simply a visual stunning movie, and the plot was decent enough to coincide with the effects

GO FUCKING SEE IT

im sick of all these shitty movies making god awful amounts of money no matter how shitty they are
I.E Christmas carol's wt 6th remake? and all the fuckin twilight movies, they make millions and spend 12 bucks on the effects, that still look like shit in the end

This kind of film should be encouraged

id suggested view in theaters, it just doesnt seem like it would be the same on a tiny screen

Avatar was fantastic. I saw it at the IMax and was blown away.

The plot has been done before, yes but it is a solid movie and the visuals are a cinematography masterpiece.

Avatar was a great movie i think its really really good and i recommend everyone to watch it i think its the best movie ive seen so far

Avatar is in no way but effects amazing. The dialouge sucked at times, the characters were mainly the same ol' shit, the plot was pretty much one big rip off after another (Seriously though, this movie ripped off everything from Aliens to the Matrix to Hellboy to Krull (Someone told me Krull had flying mountains, take it with a grain of salt). However, every single second I saw that landscape my jaw promptly punched a whole in the ground.

me and two other ppl that went with me got headaches. my dad says he didnt and thats it.

When you look at the screen without glasses you get a headache. The iMax glasses I had when I went covered my entire forward field of view. The lenses went beyond the bottom and sides of my eyes.

I have had minor issues with 3-D movie headaches in the past and the difference in glasses completely fixed it for me.

other than the visual effects, there was nothing too ground breaking. same ol' shit, just visually stunning is all.

on a side note there is like this deer thing when he was hunting with the sassy alien girl, it makes the most HILARIOUS face ever! it gets spooked and goes "meehh?" lolololololol. keep an eye out for it, i almost had to leave the theater i was laughing so hard.
