When to expect me

I won't be on TF2 on weekdays for a while, until i get my grades ALL above B's which is hard since i'm lazy as hell.

So, Friday Saturday and Sunday.

i dont want to hear about ppl making the same mistake i made. i had free ride offers to play soccer from 2 different private schools and a starting spot for another;respectively. (Case Western University, Hiram University, Blufton University). i didnt take any of them. why? because i cared about what was not important. Video games, friends, girls.

working hard in highschool is EVERYTHING to setting yourself up. colleges wont want to give your money to you if you have a history of slacking off. (money wasted). i honestly studied once, just once, my whole time in jr high and highschool. i remember it was for chemistry class my jr year, the periodic table. i did enough homework to get by. no joke i could have been in the top 3 of my class if i tried, instead i was 45 out of 260. with studying once i had a B average and a 19 on my act. (sad).

now i am living at home going to a community college(nothing wrong with that btw. same education, cheaper tuition). and i honestly dont think i can juggle a soccer ball to save my life.
my view on life has changed drastically since ive graduated. all the things i said in my above paragraph i wish someone was there to tell me. its not really about noone being there for you.. its about not listening. start listening now, and you will be thankful to everyone later.

its not good enough for people in online communities to tell you "school first". there is much more to it than that..

take your time and get your grades up so you can keep them up. we will all be here when you get back.

HuRtMePleNtY..... Are we the same person?..... That is exactly my story(minus the soccer scholarships. I stopped playing soccer after 7 years I don't really know why.) I am now going to a community college and living at my parents house. In high school I was up there with the top 3 people of my class on tests and work I actually did but I never did the work. In Florida we have a test called the FCAT that is pretty much the cornerstone of our education... I slept though the first 3/4 of it every year and still got a higher grade on it than most people. In English 3 I was the only person to get an A on the exam... but I was also the only one in the class with a D for a grade.... Don't be a screw up like me. College is dang expensive and it's really not worth it to blow off scholarships.

I quit WoW for grades. WoW is so much worse for me than TF2. I made $510 off the account though and uninstalled it, so I won't be going back.

You know what, as someone that is a little bit older than you I cannot disagree more. High School is by far the best time of your life until you are financially stable and can afford to go on vacations and whatnot and take time away from work. I didn't do jack in High School and barely graduated (had to take night school), yet I was able to get government student loans and ended up graduating at a private technical college at the top of my class. I was taking 19 credits a quarter and my class size went from 25 to 4 by the end of the semester due to work load. I still graduated with a 3.9 GPA and got a fantastic job right out of school.

When you get done with college you will realize how little you actually know, especially if you are going into anything related to computers or programming. The High School/College experience is different for everyone and getting good grades in High School is only important if you really want to go the Ivy League route. For the average person who wants to go to a state school all bad grades in HS mean is that you can save some money and take some of your generals at a community college. The benifit to this is that many community colleges are a lot like High School, so the transition is easier, and since you aren't blowing tons of money trying to decide what you want to do for the next 50+ years of your life you can put a little more thought into it. When you are ready to make a commitment, all of your community college credits will transfer to your school of choice and you can move on.

High School is the time for partys and friends. It is important that you graduate High School but beyond that, life will treat you just fine in the end.

I like to think I've managed to make a good balance between work and play. I've managed around an A- or B+ average, and I'm not hyper-stressed all the time. I can think of one recent almost-nervous breakdown, though.
