imagine yourself as a T-rex in a room full of T-ball poles and large soapy bubbles. Your stubby arms would render the pleasure-power of this room woefully out of reach.

Re: Wireless broadcasting
I bet you could share the wired connection with your laptop. The key there would be getting them on the same network. I doubt you could do iut with your iPod though.
Don't know enough to give you a better answer. Doesn't your school have WiFi?

Re: Wireless broadcasting
Personally I would say that you are better off with a wireless router, it might be possible to get the XP PC to connect ad-hoc to the Vista Ultimate x64. As for the iPod I'm not sure whether it would be possible to ad-hoc to the Vista PC. I think Google might be your best bet. The wireless router option I would say is the easiest options as it would not take long to set up and once set up it would take about 1min to connect both the XP and the iPod to the Wireless part of the router, while the Vista PC can stay Wired if that is the current setup. Let me know if u need anything else.

Re: Wireless broadcasting
Did you have the router set up correctly. Try looking up the settings in your modem or whatever you use to connect to the internet in the first place. Try and "copy" these onto the new router. By copy I mean write them down somewhere and then put them into the new router. I'm not sure I understand what you mean it won't let you connect to the internet but lets you access the network. Seems strange that it either does one or the other. Set up the network first then try and set up the internet. Let me know what the router is and I'll try and look it up on Google and see if I can figure out how to set it up.

Re: Wireless broadcasting
If the internet on your desktop is working fine, you can bridge the connection to your router and have your gadgets and accessories connect through that.
