Anybody for a "Retro Night"?

TF2 was released approximately 1 ½ years ago, and over that year and a half we have seen a lot of new custom made maps come and go. I was just wondering if it would be possible to have a “Retro Night”. My vision for this would be an evening dedicated to bring the old maps like of the 420 series, Roof Top Alpha, Spillway and others that have been retired, and playing them just for old times sake.
Now, I have no idea how much work would be involved in locating, compiling, sorting and loading such a collection of moldy oldies or if there would even be sufficient interest amongst the membership which would warrant the effort.

So, my questions are:

• Can it be done?
• Should it be done?

If the maps can be found it can be done. Specific map filesnames would make it 100 times easier to find the maps.

It really doesn't take much to add maps to the server so that part isn't an issue, we just need to find the maps.

Dang... I was hoping for a search by date function ... Guess that does not exist.

Ok then, People who want this, try and remember some map names...

Those names don't ring a bell...must've been in that first 1/2 year.
Actually, if anyone thinks they may have played it, it's probably still in your map folder, check there.

I have some 420 maps but I don't know which are good. You can sort maps in your map folder by date also.

I'm very very old, which means that I am a technological illiterate...

Can you tell me how to access this folder?

Is there a way I could view a map in said folder?

This may or maynot work
Go to your C drive
Click Program Files(x86)
Steam
Steam Apps
(whatever your account name is)
Team Fortress 2
tf
Maps

that should do it
Also check sound cache and see if the name of the map is there aswell. There may or maynot be anything useful in soundcache

No way that I know of to view the map without launching the game.

Go to: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<Your Steam Name>\team fortress 2\tf\maps
Right click anywhere in the window and go to Arrange Icons By > Modified

The maps should now be in the order you downloaded them in. The first map is the first map you downloaded.

My order seemed to be a bit off but I also have dropped maps in that folder directly in the past so all of those maps have different modified dates then they would if I had just downloaded them from the server.
