I play games and hang out with my girlfriend.
I used to play soccer
I used to play all brass instruments but mainly the euphonium
I used to go Kayaking all the time
I used to draw and sculpt clay
I used to do a lot of crap that I don't understand why I don't do anymore....

But Mtn Biking season is here :) Time to get out of the house.

Getting into some woodcarving too. Tiki style.

Thanks. Did some more work on this guy and added a face to the back. Next one will be more serious in Tiki style and I've got plans for it :)

So cool to hear you flatland. I did flatland street and vert for many years. I actually saw a bike in a bike rack one day and thought 'that bike looks so familiar'. When I walked by it again I was like 'that's my old bike' :D
That day the kid came into the shop looking for a mountain bike, I sold him one and bought my old haro master back :) Fixed it up some and still have it (sadly in a box is storage). I'm just to old to kiss concrete all the time these days, I tend to crash less on my mountain bike.
But back in my day I could whip some sick ultra long boomerangs, candy bar style and everything. Decades were another fav.
But then the pros started whipping rolling double decades... If you can ride like that you are my hero seriously, some of those new tricks just blow my mind (but they look so easy when you watch them.
Anyway, the single speed rides bowls pretty dam well so..

I really want to try this. I'm not exactly the most athletic person but is there any better way to start rather then just start climbing things?

You would only look like a huge dork until you ran up the side of a building. Then everyone would shut the fuck up and you would have like 10 girlfriends. It's science.

Fun, but rough on the ankles.

I prefer trail running. forest service trails. Middle of nowhere, bears and bobcats. Rocks to jump off but not stairs. dirt is so much easier on the knees than pav/cement.

You guys must live in the corn belt. If you run off into the woods in northern Minnesota you won't be coming back without injury.

FYI, getting lost in the woods fucking sucks. I don't recomend it.

I can vouch for that, especially if you get lost in areas where snakes like to live. Happened to me near the border to PA in North East Ohio, that just sucks.

free-running/parkour is some pretty intense stuff. i dont do it myself, but im aware of people that do. we tend to frequent the same places, and fourms.

dont know how popular the site really is here, but it was posted to a thread on another forum i frequentt: http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/
i know that there is a parkour group in the city that i live in, so you might be able to find something local to you as well.
