Article makes that guy sound like a bitch.

Seriously, NOBODY had issues with Valve/Steam that I'm aware of. And he doesn't even make half a case about any issue. At the end of the article they say it's a publicity stunt, oh balloon boy, here we come again.

I was hesitant to get anything from Steam at one point, just because it requires internet and at times I have had none. Other than that there are no issues.
This would be worth money if you had it in writing

That guy just probably had a few bad run-ins with microsoft

Steam is a great platform even if it has issues from time to time. People buy a lot more games when they don't have to drive to the store to get them.
