Aion

So you guys may have noticed I haven't been around much for the past week. I kinda got sucked into an MMO. I don't really plan on playing it for too long and there isn't much to do after level 50 (that's where characters top out).
Anyway, the game is called Aion. It came out a few weeks ago. It is pretty much like many of the other Korean MMOs except in this one you have wings and can fly in certain areas. There are two factions (the good guys and the bad guys) and every once in a while a portal will open up that allows the bad guys to come to the good guy realm and kill all the good guys.
The quests are varied pretty well and there are a good number of job skills you can level to be able to do different things.
Anyway, if anyone jumps on there let me know.

My problem is the low fps, but not enough people seem to have that problem to make me think its not my vid card's fault.
As far as pvp, its a good concept, but I can't really say from personal experience because you have to be a bit higher lvl to try.
Essentially there's 2 ways of PvPing against the other races. One is that random rifts open up on your side of the world to be able to go to their side. The other is the "abyss" which is just a huge pvp zone for the max lvlers.
Gliding with your wings is more fun than actually being able to fly in my opinion. Other than the flying part, its like any other korean mmo except you don't have to grind nearly as much.
Edit: The quests aren't any more repetitive than any other game with quests. Some quests have you kill guys, some have cutscenes, some make you run from one place to another, some make you collect items.

I've sworn off mmo's for awhile after 2 years of WoW then I tried Conan (big mistake) then Warhammer (fun for awhile PvP is good but lacks anything else), City of heroes (Best character creator ever after then it's all very down hill). My comic book fetish is telling me to go buy Champions Online but I'm resisting. I'm waiting for DC universe online the Old Republic or if they ever get that Marvel MMO off the ground.
I heard the only thing Aions got going for it is it's pretty, but then again your playing effeminate angels flying through the air so ya it's a pass in my book.

Well let's just say if somehow my account was stolen, as long as my credit card number wasn't on there, I really wouldn't be too angry.

I'm currently playing Lord Of The Rings Online and enjoying it. New expansion comes out soon.

It's like Aion is a more Fantasy-like version of Guild Wars that you have to pay to play. If that's all this is, I think I'll wait until GW2 comes out because I don't like paying for games I already bought in the first place.

Yea, I don't like having to pay for cable either. I mean, I already bought the TV.

I'm paying internet fees, not monthly for my DVD player/DVD's.

you're paying monthly for your cable box ( or w/e) to be of any use.

Sounds like FlyFF (fly for fun). Nothing but an asian MMO that lead to nowhere.

I never caught on to mmorpg games
Because they take to much time and effort on my short as fuck attention span
