May be I should just start a rant blog. What do you guys think?

If it'll cheer your cranky ass up in game i'm all for it =P.

Rant sections are always a fun source of conversation on a message board. Nothing like a good internet argument to keep a board lively.

I was actually going to ask you if you wanted to do this. I figured you could come up with something to rant about every few days. If you want, I can make you one, just let me know.

I just looked into this again and I should be able to make a WP blog that integrates with the forum in such a way where it would create new threads and comments would appear in both places. I'm going to see how quickly I can make that work in the event that someone does end up wanting to write a blog under the calculatedChaos name.

I held back yes, but I'm fairly certain I could rant about things as a job if I gave it enough thought. But don't worry, I know where to draw the line and that's at the back of the room behind the wet dip and soggy fucking potato chips that some motherfucker decided to spill his drink all over! Okay, I kind of have this working now. I have a blog setup at http://gaming.calculatedchaos.com/rants. When you add a new post to that topic, it creates a topic on the forum with the same name and title. The comments are all done in the forum itself. The blog shows the number of comments with alink to the topic and a second link that is basically the reply button for the topic. All of the topics on the forum appear as if they were written by plastic jesus and I could make an unlimited amount of these for anyone who wants one.

It all works really nice except for one problem. The time of all the blog posts is off from the forum time by one hour so if anyone adds a reply to the forum topic within that hour the comment appears above the original post. It seems to be a bug that has to do with the plugin so I am just going to rewrite part of the plugin to make it work right. I should have something together tonight if not this weekend, at which point i'll give plastic the login info and he can get started. Then I'll work on making the blog look nice.

Okay, I have plastics blog working now. I stripped down everything so that I can make it look cool later. After I stripped down the whole thing I was thinking that I should make another blog like that one that is anonymous. If I had an anonymous blog for ranting on, would any of you guys post on it?

If anyone else wants to write a gaming-related blog let me know. This goes for pretty much anyone.
