City of Heroes (yay!)

Unread post by MrKerplunkers »

Yeah, yeah, call me a nerd but I have a good deal of interest in it.
ncsoft wrote:City of Heroes® brings the world of comic books alive in this massively multiplayer 3D online universe.

Craft your hero's identity and join millions of Hero characters in a constantly expanding universe, explore the sprawling online metropolis of Paragon City™, and battle a host of foes including criminals, villains, and monsters.
That's about the gist of it. I was thinking that we could set up a day where we all DL the trial and give it a try ;)

Edit: Nobody take the name Captain Kerpy, that is mine.

I have an account, I don't even remember the login and password, but I have a few high level heroes and a few low level villians. If you are going to play let me know I might be able to help you out.
Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

Made myself a char on the infinity server, as the villian Kaptain Kerpy. If you are ever on the server, be sure to add me as a friend. And PJ, PM me when you are gonna help Awesomesauce so I can tag along. ;)

by the way, I'm a hypocrite and I'm playing this on the Liberty server with some guys i used to play Jumpgate with. Which leads me to tell you that when JG-Evolution comes out I'll probably go missing for awhile.

I'd rather play Champions online. Have you guys seen that one? It's not out yet but it looks great.

I would, but it's my understanding that Statesman (jack emmert?) left CoH in the hands of positron (matt something) and went to go make that game...and CoH has gotten better and better since that happened.

I applied for the beta anyway. Since they're also developing it for 360 I have fairly low expectations...the PC crowd and the 360 crowd are very different beasts.

I'm usually not one for MMOs, but the character creation in this game is totally awesome. Unfortunately the rest of it is really boring. (lotsa the same missions over and over again.)

It's so interesting to me to see where this game has gone. I interviewed the creators when I was like 14 for some website before the game came out.

Looks like a cool concept. But I take it it's a monthly membership mmo? Not down with monthly fees. I'll try the demo though.

Funny, I looked at their jobs and they want artists of the high possible quality, blah blah. Experience with releases AND must be an avid mmo gmaer (with this one especially). Now who has the time to be an avid gamer AND time to create content with top notch results?
This would be worth money if you had it in writing

LIARS!

It's okay, and a lot less grindy than it was 5 years ago. Still very repetitive tho...

If you PM me your email i can refer a friend and then if you get suckered in I get a free month...
