Hey guys, just thought I'd tell you all that I'm getting a new videogame this weekend, I'm sure we all have different opinions on it, but I need advice as to weather or not to get it. The game I'm planning, PLANNING mind you, on getting is "Halo Wars."

Now, firstly I need some information on how the game play works, then some stategy advice for actually playing the game. Thanks.

Its an rts with the humans on one side and the covenant on the other. The flood are an unplayable third race that you will encounter every so often. You usually have a mission that you must succeed at, such as evacuating survivors from a planet under assault from the covenant, or wiping out an enemy base. Multiplayer is good, and even has its own variant of the Zerg rush called a "warthog rush".

It's a "My First RTS" kind of game.

He means like My First Book or My First 1000 Spanish Words. Not, "Hey try Halo wars as your first RTS, it's great for beginners!"

To be frank, Halo Wars works. Not as well as ye olde mouse and keyboard mind you, but it works. It is better than the usual "let's stuff a pc control scheme up the ass of a poor unsuspecting xbox" and the original control scheme for Halo Wars is the first time a console RTS kinda worked, and for that I applaud the folks a Bungie. However, it's far from the 360 answer to starcraft 2, the 2 factions are nearly the same and the maps aren't all that varied. But it's a nice experiment and might have nailed some military tact into the drunken fraternity that is the halo community (probably not, but it's a nice thought).

Consoels are good for two things, platforming and racing. However, given the fact that you can hook up a steering wheel and thumstick controler to your computer, the continuation of the console at all is retarded. They should just stop trying, the 360 is just a retarded gaming computer anyhow. Computers are costing so much less now and all your entertainment and communication devices are merging into a single thing. Just give up and put it all on the computer and call it a mediabox. FFS!!!

Unfortunately Plastic it's quite the opposite consoles are on the rise and computers are slowly dwindling.

halo wars sucks. rome total war is good. company of heroes is good.

Well, I've made my decision based on the replies in this topic, I feel that getting Halo Wars would be the best decision for me as of now.

Where the hell did you get that? regardless go buy Batman it's short but its great. If you don't like Batman, quit being a girl start reading comics. Get back to the roots, read some comics play your nes.
