I do freelance web development from time to time. I have designed my fair share of websites which could be considered art I suppose, although these days it's all gradients and rounded corners. I lost count of how much money I have made doing freelance but it is usually a couple thousand dollars a year depending on how much freelance I do.
I use Photoshop pretty regularly at my daytime job. Mainly to make image sprites and crop said gradients out of Photoshop documents that other people make. I make a retarded amount of money doing that.
