I need some help. My steam acc got hijacked and now I cant get in! My email is unavailable so I cant retrieve the message that has the info I need. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideads on what I should do?

all i can think of is to call in and ask them to fix it.

How did it get hijacked? If someone got your password or if you GAVE someone your password then it's going to be tough to get back.

Steam should have more personal info about your account and they might be able to reset it for you over the phone.

It definitely makes a big difference whether you know the person who did it. Contacting Steam is the best idea, but if you know who may have done it, try guessing what they might have changed it to if it is at all possible to do so.

well i contacted steam support and reseted my password, but it doesnt work! wtf?!?!?!?!?! do i have to wait or sumthin?

well maybe they didnt do it right.
call back and see if you can get someone else to do it.
make sure you keep them on the line, so you can verify to them that you get logged on to your account.
don't let them short change you.
Edit: they are called steam support for a reason. they are a service provided to help you. keep calling(twist their arm), make them help you.

got it back. turns out that the hijacker made my accout infected. so whatever help I got from steam support(resetting password or answering the secret question) would fail to work.
its clean now.

My bet is that this is the hacker and not rudedog at all.

This does seem sorta suspicious, but how would the "hacker" get both passwords for the forum AND steam for just rudedog? Unless his passwords are the same

That seems INCREDIBLY unlikely, and I dont think you'd even have to worry about it cap. Hacker probably doesnt even know about the site I bet, he didnt hijack the computer, only his steam account.

I believe Auslander's bot is behind this.
