Drop a level 1 sentry somewhere...anywhere. Nothing is more frustrating to someone watching you in spectator than you taking 2 steps forward, then 2 steps backward, then 1 step to the left, the 4 steps to the right while you try to decide where you put the sentry that is probably going to get blown up before it finishes building because you're so (&$@ indecisive!!!

;)

Sometimes placement is crucial but if it takes you 20 seconds to get it, say bye bye sentury.

I don't mind watching the engineer go through that process just to shoot the gun when they put it down, then of course they try again and that's another point. I try to do that until they run out of metal and then I take out the engineer....

It's really funny to tell you the truth.

Well it helps if you know the map. If you don't then it takes a bit longer in knowing where to place it. But you learn once it gets taken out a few times because it is a bad spot. I say just get to know your maps and try setting them up in a different spot if the one you are at keeps getting taken out lol.

the problem with this being a custom maps community, there is always new maps. but some awesoem ones that are played frequently, sentrys are alwasy placed in the same spots

I got it, it's actually pretty useful when you see a noob engie just wandering around. Also you can use it to screw over the opposite team, or remember where you had your previous sentry in case it is destroyed.

Even though I'm taking a break with engineer (65 Hours vs Sniper's 32) you should only take the time to place a Strategic Sentry (SS) if there isn't anyone around. ...But if enemies are right around the corner, JUST PUT IT DOWN SOMEWHERE.
