Ok, so the "my games" section is under a "Scanning for steam updates" state and I can't access any of my games. I would get a pic, but I don't have a print screen button. :(
I tried restarting steam, my internet connection, and my computer. Any ideas?

You know, you should be able to uninstall and reinstall steam and still keep all your games. Doesn't it just let you download the games you register? Also, with one of the updates I believe they moved achievements into the cloud as well. I'd double check with someone else before you delete all your shit though :D

I've always had achievements in the cloud, but not loadouts. I had the update bug as well, but it fixed itself after I left steam on for about an hour then restarted steam. And, if you're willing, any games you own can be reinstalled even after a complete uninstall of the games in hand or steam itself.

I am still waiting for a call back from steam support. I'll try reinstalling steam... if I can just figure out how to do it :stupid:
Also, I tried going through my steamapps folder to try and launch my game manually. No luck there.

I had the same issue a week ago and then last night I had a similar issue which gave me a warning about corrupted local game files.

Basically you have erase the .gcf files in the steamapps folder and then redownload the games. It's annoying, but it's better than my original solution of reformatting my computer.
