I'm going to Chicago this weekend, and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on good places to visit or good places to eat before I went.

Go see the giant metal bean. It's by the Natural History Museum. There is a bunch of cool stuff over there.
Also, eat some pizza because I couldn't when I visited.

I lived in Chicago when I was a kid!
1. Go up the Sears Tower and check out those new skybridge things that they have built in. You can look 103 stories straight down.
2. Check out the Shedd Aquarium. Best aquarium in the states; it's one of my favorite places in the world.
3. Look at the Buckingham Fountain and Navy Pier; they're in the same general area.
4. Just walk around on street level and visit the shops and such.
5. I forget where it is, but there's somewhere that lets you rent segway scooters and go on an architecture tour. I didn't do that, but it looked fun.

I'm back!
I did not go to Sears Tower, I didn't have enough time, and it rained yesterday so we didn't get to go to Millennium Park and see the bean either. I did get to go to the museums (I loved the science and industry museum) and the aquarium. The Cheesecake Factory is delicious, and I suggest it to anyone who goes to Chicago. Navy Pier is beautiful, and I got to see the Blue Man Group, which was also fantastic. I feel like I didn't get to do everything there though, and I need to start planning a second trip there soon.
I did try the pizza, but I can't say I'm a fan of deep dish.

Deep dish pizza was actually invented by a Texan who was living in Chicago after a tour in Italy during WWII.

Ha-ha, I agree. We have a Cheese cake factory at our mall and it is pretty good. Pricey but good.

1. And vomit/spit 103 stories down and try to hit something!
2. Free Sea Food!
3. Find some spare change in the fountain
4. Spend the spare change!
5. just "Rent" one and wreck it into the Pier when you're done
Best plan for visiting chicago ever
