My birthday is coming up, and I want a new headset. I don't know who makes quality mics, so I can't really suggest anything to my parents, other than just a headset.

So what headset do you own, and do you like it?

People recommend USB. I don't know much about them but the idea sounds promising.

Logitech Wireless USB Clearchat.

Vortex and I both have them and neither of us complain about it. I just wish it was surround sound but i really don't need it.

Any Razer headset, they cost a little much but they are surround sound. You wouldnt believe the difference of playing with surroundsound compared to a stereo headset.

my sister broke my razer headset, and my gaming hasnt been the same since then.

This stupid post got me thinking and I ordered a surround sound headset that should be here in two days. It's not usb but they do make a USB version. I got a Medusa 5.1 Home that is supposed to be one of the better headsets for the money. Personally I don't like Razer and probably never will because I've found their mice expensive but cheaply built and uncomfortable, and their keyboards always had very poor feedback.

Though I also ordered a Logitech G5 today so I'm sure my skills are going to be off while adapting to a new mouse though that 2000 DPI should come in handy.

What do you need a nice mouse for? I thought your aimbot does all the mouse stuff for you

i am cheap i took my headphones i was using and the clip on mic i was using and taped a wire to my headphones and then the mic to the wire so i have a nice cheap headset.

I've decided on the gamecom 777. I heard a lot about this one the old GFW radio, and it has USB and dolby 5.1 surround sound.
