TF2maps.net Discussion with Devs

Unread post by Beetle »

I go to TF2Maps.net a lot, and I found that they are talking back and forth with some of the TF2 Devs. Its pretty neat - shows some early stage screenshots of badwater and goldrush.

The guy that runs TF2.net was actually on our server on Monday. He asked me the other day if I wanted to make out server the TF2maps.net official server. I don't think I will do that but I want to support them as much as possible. I am going to try and work out some kind of mutual arangement with them.

Cool link by the by.

I don't know. If you could work something out that didn't require changing cC to tf2maps, it would greatly increase the traffic to our site/server.

Yeah, that's the plan anyway. I suggested a few things that would work in our favor. I won't give up server settings or running the regular map cycle based on popular opinion. I also won't give up being in charge of admins or server mods. We would have to do map alpha testing at least once a week and we would make it so that maps were uploaded directly to the server, rather than posted on the forum so that's a good thing.

Anyway, i'll make sure to let everyone know what, if anything, ends up happening.
