Members Day on 02/28

Last month's member day was a smashing success between all of the good matches we had and the chaotic organization of a 17+ man scout tower, I think everyone had a good time. Beyond that, members day is a good time for regular members to get to know many of the people they may not play with very often and it is a very good place for us to do recruiting.

I think that we are going to do members day events on the last Saturday of each month. We could expand and do more events during other times during the month, but for now I think that is what we should do.

During the last members day, people expressed interest in doing other locked-server events. I love this idea and if anyone has any specific event ideas or, better yet, would like to organize a particular event, let me know. I am willing and able to give anyone access to anything they would need to get any kind of event rolling.

man i wish i was there.........
count me in for this month!
i have an idea for a members day event, but i took it from capone.
a tourney.
prize or none, it would be fun either way.
my idea for this tourney is 5v5 up to 9v9 games, depending on who will commit to the teams.
it can be regular ctf and cp, or special games like wacky waces or melee only.
the last match has to be a best 2 out of 3 arena match with both teams agreeing on a map.

this is my/capone's idea(thx cap), but i got no time to create teams and organize the tourney. i would hardly hav time for competing let alone running it lol. Ill find time if we do this.

think about it........

i was thinking just a 1v1 tourney, in a duel map, or idk.

I will not be participating, but my little brother might be. I'm gonna have company, chores, and places to be going pretty much all day Saturday.... However, me and NoodleFoo will probably be on pretty much all night Friday... Then again, I have FEAR 2 and Fallout 3 to show off a little...

Things started off a lil' slow, but slowly everything picked up. I was there in the morning and afternoon, and everything went well and was fun, despite Steam being a little pissy. It's nice to be playing with people from the group, it let's me get to a few member better without the minor interruptions from random pubbers. Yay Member's Day.
