Forums are always empty

Why are forums always empty, like everyone (at night where i live) goes on servers and starts playing like crazy but few ppl post on the forums. the forums really need to get bumped and people to start posting more often. i think the forums is a good way to communicate with others, we even got trading threads but the last bump there was over a month ago. start posting on forums guys. also avoid douchebags and have fun

if you're still not convinced, then look inside this spoiler
post on forums more

Sometimes I feel like Kerp, Haun, Giro, me, Speedblader and maybe a small handful of other people are literally the only ones who even come here regularly anymore.

That will be difficult to change unless we attract more players. Fastest way to do that would be to add more maps (good maps, preferably) that are neither breakfloor-related nor contain the word melee in their name. Even in cases where bad maps such as those even get added, Flamin has to get around to actually putting them on the server, which is a rarity these days.

New maps aside, Facebook has to stop being a thing, and the time of year also needs to stop being not-summer. cC's Facebook group has already become a bit of a forum outside of the forums.

My list of reasons could go on and on, but the point is that it's not the community per se that's dead or otherwise inactive--just this website.

So many people play on the servers regularly, but so little people get involved with the community. Usually, the only thing that gets people to sign up here is just for admin. And the people that do join the forums for admin, often leave later on because that plan is not going well, or they lost interest.

The facebook cC thing pretty much destroyed the aliveness on the forums too, which is basically what Pipes said. Oh and for the youtube channel, good joke. Everyone that decides to record something from the server often upload it themselves.

Don't forget about the people who stopped coming here pretty much the moment they got admin.

Thehe emptiness of the forums might be circular. I only just registered because of Pipeline mentioning it on the funserver. I had thought about signing up before, but the emptiness of the forum scared me away.

Solution: We need to have conversations with ourselves to simulate an active forum.

Wait, that's a stupid solution. No, you're just too stupid to comprehend it. No, YOU'RE stupid. That, that hurt me. I am hurt. I know, I'm sorry.

...wait.

We could always just irrelevantly necro every old thread in sight. It's not like anyone will give two shits at this point. It might even bring some people back.

Sounds great!

Now we just need three human skulls, a rib cage, a thigh bone, a shallow bowl of the blood of a tortured innocent, and a female virgin.

In fact, forget the bones and blood.

Protip: Posting more doesn't make a forum seem more populated. Making new interesting threads on the other hand, that's the life blood of a good comunity. So yeah, instead of making a thread complaining about forum traffic, make a new thread about something interesting, preferably with a chance of participation from other members.

And while I'm on a soapbox, stop posting in the $100 thread. It's been up for about 4 years now. Nothing you post there will be original, funny, or have any siginficant impact. Truth be told I've been wanting to lock it for months now.

I know the joke is that no one's ever going to win the hundred dollars, but is there really no post cap on a thread?

...Because I really want those hundred dollars.

I've actually been lurking the forums for the 4 months I've been absent and have literally read every new post. Anyway, I'm back to being involved in the community again, so hello, hello, hello.
