I have updated the main server (the stock server) to use a separate admin pool from the fun server. That means that not all of you (read: most of you) no longer have admin on that server.

After getting many complaints about many people who have been here for a long time, I felt this was the best way to remedy the situation. Admins on the fun server are unchanged.

Admins for the new admin pool were chosen based on recommendations I received from people who play frequently and are generally for creating a nice environment to play in. All admins in the new pool are root admins with the same immunity.

If you find you have admin on the server and decide you want to abuse it (kicking someone to get a present or some shit), you will be removed as admin from that server. New admins will only be added by recommendation from other people and if it makes sense (admins in the fun server pool will be updated based on votes as they are currently).

well, i'm guessing my admin is going out the window

its still at his discretion. i just think he cares less if its the funserver.

I'm guessing this is because of the fact that players can report servers with admin abuse to Valve now and remove their registered tag?
I don't care anyway, as long as we'll be playing serious maps and there is no abuse,as it should be on the stockmaps server. Maybe this will cause the server to be more active too (hopefully).

Sorry. I expected you to not come back for a month, and this thread would have long been forgotten.

Servers can be reported now too. Most recent example is the presents for the Halloween event. People noclipping (not through hacks, just through source mod) to get presents was mentioned.

Do we know exactly what will happen? They haven't REALLY said, but why risk it? Besides, its a dick move, and I'm sure cpt wouldn't want the server to suffer, w/e the punishment may or may not be.


Also, a while back they implemented a server rating system that was based on how many people joined, and the server would get a point if they were there for 30mins or something. I don't remember, but you know what I'm tlaking about right?

The server gets "un-registered". People on the servers will not receive drops, gifts from events and will also be further restricted on the servers.
