I had to do a system restore today and now any time I boot up TF2 I get HL2.exe stops working.

reinstall everything that uses Source

I think maybe re-installing steam may be my only hope

as long as you have a game library of less than 5 games (like me) you should be alright.

Phew! looks like I wasn't the only one. I guess I'll have to re-install steam somehow.
