AH, there are tons of mods out there that i truly love but here are just a few of them :

Portal : Prelude a Portal game set back to before GlaDoS (or whatever) was made and there are really bored scientisits running you through a new series of tests. They also try to kill you because they are bored out of their minds. Also fun new Portal challenges which are ALOT more challenging than the original. Fun fun fun.

If you have Stalker or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. then you will enjoy it's Oblivion Lost mod which allows you to drive cars, and new horrific monsters rip your titties off around every corner you turn. There are also these "Blowouts" where randomly a nuclear reactor or something explodes and you have to hide underground, kinda annoying actually. But still Oblivion Lost is a great addon/mod for Stalker.

Insurgency is also a amusing mod for the HL2 engine. Its kinda like counterstrike except you get to respawn! (YAY) I also find it alot more fun than counterstrike because i feel it has better game play for some reason even though it takes a few days to get used to since you die from one freaking shot.
