Ok i searched google forums and uninstalled then reinstalled fraps on three different versions i might be over thinking this but the problem is that when i start recording with fraps my teammate in portal 2 couldn't hear me same in team fortress 2 all they hear is the game noises i need help on putting my voice in the video and at the same time in the game to make a short point... My voice in the game and it gets recorded along with the rest of the crap

As commentary? Why don't you just record it first then add the voice later when editing?

and/or type voiceloopback 1 into console in any source game, only annoying thing about that is you will hear yourself talk in your headphones

Are you recording sound through Stereo Mix? I use Xsplit myself, but I think that's what you need to do for Fraps.

Maybe, i might do commentary but not in the near future i just need to hear a conversation between me and my friend in the game but he can't hear me and i can't hear myself in the video

my post said any source game, portal 2 is a source game. Magika isn't.

I put voiceloop_back 1 it worked but when i started recording all i heard in the game was game noises
