So what do people think of the new replay thing in TF2? I've not used it yet so I'm wondering if it's much better than the old way of recording demos.

Also I found this video, done using the replay system, thought the content was pretty good as well .

I cannot get the 'Star of Own Show' achievement to tick, even though all it says is 'spend time in editor'. Some people say they click one button and get it, I have gone into the editor 10 times and hit every single button at least twice, even saving and exporting movies.
Nada, no taunt anims for me.
It's like Valve is trying to work random drops into achievements now.

Plus I had to instal Quick time. I hate Apple.

Other than that I guess it's OK, makes it easier to make a vid. But I don't Facebook either so...

I got it by actually trying to make a decent video, not just randomly clicking buttons until I got the achievement.

I am going to try and make it so people can submit videos and rate them to appear on the homepage. I got the database setup yesterday. Now I just need to figure out the YouTube API and we'll be set.

still haven't got the achievement /animation damnit.

I think the replays are cool for making a replay, it's easier than running demo, recording,...

but for map making demos are better.replays you don't hear what players say, type,etc...

Why does that make it better? I'd rather splice together a bunch of replays. It strips all the annoying stuff out like talking and typing when you just want to show off some gameplay of your map.

Demos have their upsides too. I would probably use demos in the last/most-official video to advertise it.
