I might have been in mine but it takes up waaayy too much time, and swimming already does that for me. Also, the band director refuses to do trombone suicides, which pisses me off because they are pretty fun. Aside from the part where the section leader (who everyone despises) would probably take someone's head off

Recorder, Drum Set, but mostly Piano. Used to play Guitar.

There was actually one guy who brought a kazoo in to jazz band one day. He played it for a while but then the director kicked him out. Apparently Duke Ellington never included a kazoo part in his band

So one day I might teach your kids, which probably frightens you.
My main instrument is euphonium. I can also play trombone, clarinet, flute, piano, but I'm not too fluent in those.

Anyway, I have to learn to play pretty much every band instrument at least good enough to teach. So yeah, I'm a music man.

Have fun learning to multitask with all the percussion instruments.

I've already taken percussion methods.
We had to do a little bit of multiple percussion playing, but mostly we just learned separate instruments, because most schools have a band director or assistant that is a percussionist, to specifically teach the drummers.

I got accepted into jazz ensemble, so that means I'm in every single band my school has (marching, concert, jazz, pep)

So basically, marching snare, general concert stuff, and drumset.

i was previously in all types of ensables in my school including show choir combo. then i was all like FUCK THE POLICE and ditched marching and showchoir combo.

Play Saxophone: School Band, first chair, section leader. Sometimes play in Jazz Band on Sax
Play Guitar: Jazz band. I bring my hollow body. First Chair, section leader of the rhythm section.
Play Percussion: Jazz Band during breaks. I know how to play the keyboard type instrument like Marimbas and Vibraphones, but don't. I also do drums simply because I need to understand the beats and the sheet music for them.
Play piano: Alone...
Play Bass: Nowhere, but I'm renowned because my school's bassists can't even read sheet music, let alone understand theory.

In my school orchestra, we have 30 violins, and 4 violas, and they're never in tune.

At least you don't play euphonium like me, which only has a handful of orchestral pieces with parts in it. Oh yeah, jazz bands also don't have euphoniums.

Of course it's still better than viola.

Darn I'm not the only oboe player. Very nicely played by the way.

Only instrument I've ever been able to play well is the recorder. Is that unusual, to have grown up playing recorder as part of one's elementary school curriculum?

I swear, nobody plays those fucking things anymore, but I still have mine somewhere.
