Unusual effect changer?

Unread post by Foley »

20:13 - Foley: And what can I do for you>?
20:13 - snow: Hey, I saw your tf2auctions about your unusual
20:13 - snow: low effect man :/
20:13 - snow: I can help you though
20:13 - Foley: the bonnet?
20:13 - snow: Yeha
20:13 - Foley: Yeah.
20:13 - Foley: Kinda low.
20:14 - snow: Look man, I'll get to the chase. I'm a beta tester for the d3scene VIP unusual hat effect changer. It sounds dodgy, I know. But I just sold my buckaroos with sunbeams for £90
20:14 - snow: Perhaps I could give you a hand, I only ask for one hat.
20:15 - Foley: Extremely shady.
20:15 - Foley: No thanks.
20:15 - snow: I can link you first -.-"
20:15 - snow: I'm trying to get some rep by doing this for people
20:15 - snow: ._.
20:15 - Foley: link ahead
20:16 - snow: http://www.mediafire.com/?syn7i2py61k9j1q
20:16 - snow: Don't share with anyone
20:16 - snow: -.-"
20:17 - snow: You type in the name of the hat your example "Unusual Glengarry Bonnet"
20:17 - snow: (Case sensitive)
20:18 - snow: What it does, it uses ring0 security to mask your IP and changes code within the steam database.
20:18 - snow: The effects are simple strings
20:18 - snow: lol
20:18 - snow: Well, that's what a mod at d3scene told me anyway.
20:18 - Foley: well
20:19 - Foley: even if it's real, i'd rather not risk it
20:19 - snow: Ring0 secure, my friend.
20:19 - Foley: Valve would probably take notice after a while, wouldn't they?
20:19 - snow: It's V.I.P
20:19 - snow: and after beta testing
20:19 - snow: it's going to have an login system and $60 / use
20:19 - snow: :/
20:19 - snow: People would abuse the shit out of it otherwise.
20:20 - snow: I'll tell you what
20:20 - snow: I'll give you a hat if you try it.
20:20 - snow: Just once.
20:20 - Foley: You seem a bit... eager for me to try it.
20:20 - Foley: Why?
20:20 - snow: I need rep
20:20 - snow: on steam forums.
20:20 - snow: Not for "this" ofc.
20:20 - snow: Just random rep.
20:21 - snow: So I can start selling my tf2items.
20:22 - snow: It's your choice buddy. I won't bug you no more. Values though - values.
20:23 - Foley: I doubt it.

I'm telling you guys, it's totally legit. :stupid:

(And there's a load of people named Snow on steam, thus, I wont hide it)

It's funny how the super cool VIP hat changerific file uses a free mediafire account and not a reputable download or something. Also, costing money somehow.

One month later
Foley: Noooo my unusual is gone!

If it does work, Valve will take your unusual away. I really doubt that Valve actually have a beta that can change effect that cost 60$ each time. Sounds fishy to me. I'm just saying my opinion, it sounds fishy.

my favorite effect is actually the flies because it is subtle. I don't think its high on the list though - might be wrong.

Everyone has their favorites, it really doesn't matter. My favorite effect is either the floating TF2 symbol or the ghosts. Some people even like the flies effect.

An unusual is an unusual, even if you don't like the effect, it's still rarer than most hats people have, so be happy.
Life is whatever.

I just assume people have some rank list out there somewhere like on a tf2 trading website or the SPUF.
