How to Crash Minecraft

Ok so everyone that plays Minecraft knows that if you plant enough TNT then it will ultimately crash Minecraft. So I decided to test this theory. I used an online inventory editor before the 1.3 update, to give myself about 3 stacks of TNT and blew myself a nice big crater. Then I went crazy and filled said crater with TNT, I would say about 35 stacks, which would be about 2240. I gave Minecraft 12Gb of RAM to use since I have a total of 16Gb, and another 4Gb from a USB Memory Stick.
So here are some screenshots from before and after:
The crater I blasted out first

The crater filled with TNT with about 4 layers of stone on the top with a single column of TNT joining the surface to the rest of the TNT.

This shows how deep it is, not far away from bedrock.

I might think about filling in this crater with TNT, and seeing how much TNT I can explode and trying different layouts to try and explode as much TNT as I can without it lagging completely. If anyone has any good free screen capturing programs that won't leave a watermark on the final video then please let me know, as I know the free version of fraps leaves a watermark.

Minecraft is pretty.

Yes it is. Even prettier when you don't blow it up with TNT but everything is replaceable so it makes no difference.
