Good ol' fashion Arcade Games, Cabinet and all!

Unread post by Wamp Rats »

Who still enjoys going down to the local arcade? or Dave and Busters even?

I think arcade games are some of the most over-looked, yet some of the funnest games ever.
And still, no one talks about them.

Here's a list of my personal favourites

House of the dead series
Time Crisis 3
Ghost Squad
DDR
That boxing game where you beat up Russians

What are some of your favourite arcade games?

Oh hell yeah, I used to go down to D&B with my bros. We loved playing Time Crisis. Another one we played a lot was Target: Terror Gold Edition. I must have spent OVER $100 on that game ALONE. And we never beat it. We always got to the very end of the last level and couldn't figure out how to kill the ninja holding the pilot hostage.
Life is whatever.

There's still one awesome arcade near my house, it's got some of the best arcade games ever, like Marvel vs Capcom, Capcom vs Tatsukuno (or whatever), House of the Dead 4, and some random racing games.

If anyone feels particularly douchey, I highly recommend taking 2 weapons on the house of the dead games. It wastes all your quarters and shit, but it is probably the most fun you'll have in that game. Especially on 4, since that's the one with the uzis.

Also just to throw it out there, star wars arcade.

YES. THIS. BEST GAME EVER. I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it. Did you ever see the ending? "Shit, I'm finally out... Ehhhh I'll go back again. *coin*" xD

Time Crisis is awesome
Ghost Squad or whatever is awesome
I reeeeally love that one with the pull-down helmet with the trigger handles... I forget the name... Something like beachfront or whatever... idk. It's like a really primitive virtual reality. Lol

I was recently at the D&B in Philly and was playing the Rambo shooter they had. That was cool, it took after the third movie I think.

I remember going to this small, broken down, depressing laundromat at night and there were 2 arcade games. Pac-man and some obscure racing game that looked like it blonged on the Atari. I never had any money so i pretended to play them as the demo was going on.

But later on i started playing arcade games like Big Buck hunter, Area 51, and some tropical jet-ski game.

I actually have arcade games in my house from my mother's old business. you can never go wrong with the classic joystick and buttons

my favorites are mostly neo-geos like metal slug, puzzle bobble, etcetera. but i've played more than i can remember. also, i saw someone mention carnEVIL. that one was a good one. (you got to kill santa clause :) ) i also remember when house of the dead 3 came out when i was young and the shotgun was really heavy.
