captain asked me to make a plugin for it.
sm_drink = Get into the drinking game
sm_nodrink = Get out of the drinking game

Displays how many drinks you have to drink upon certain kinds of deaths (in chat).

Fun.

EDIT: Update to have a 3 second interval between each global chat message when somebody joins so they cannot spam "sm_drink" then "sm_nodrink" rapidly. It ends up spamming themselves

UPDATE UPDATE: If a player is already in the drinking game, then typing /drink again will not do a global message. Same for not being in the game and /nodrink.

update x3: fixed suicides not being rocket selfkills, falls, etc.

10/25/2010 Update: Now uses a translations file. Have fun changing the messages, captain :P (changes to translations only apply on map end).

drinkinggame.phrases.txt goes in the sourcemod translations folder, of course.

does this plugin spam the chat like goomba stomp does, or can only the person who died see the number of drinks?

It tells everyone when you join that you are playing and then will only tell you how many drinks to take when you die. No chat spam.

I wasn't really aware that goomba stomp spammed the chat. I only see a couple of messages every now and then.

It spams the chat as in it tells everyone what happened instead of just the people involved.

People probably don't know this but I am REALLY against chat spam. That's why I try and encourage people to use the /commands instead of the !commands, they don't show up to everyone.

Chat spam can quickly turn the text chat used by people who don't have mics into a soup that nobody likes. People ignore the chat stream enough as it is without me adding a bunch of plugins that muddy the waters even more.

another peeve of mine: people who only talk in /csay, /tsay, @ (admin and all). really bugs me. because if i miss something i always look in console for it. and those never show up.
and i dont like stuff on my screen other than the game.

Because admins wanna show their authority .
