Favorite Movie of All Time?

so what's everyone's favorite movie of all time? I mean movies that you love, not movies that are the best. Citizen Kane, may be the best movie of all time, but my favorite movie is Inglorious Basterds for countless reasons.

I understand that Basterds is hardly a piece of art, but I really really enjoyed it and I've watched it countless times. The pacing could have been better at times, but the characters were so likable, the dialog so good, and the scenes so suspenseful that I can't not love it.

so yeah, what's your favorite movie?

its a tie between Almost Famous, Catch me if you can, and any movie directed by Wes Anderson.

Ya it's pretty hard for me to say, every time i think i've seen the best thing in cinema something new comes and blows my mind. I'm a retarded crazy movie buff, The last movie i saw that blew my mind was "What the bleep do we know" It's a documentary directed by William Arntz and starring Marlee Matilin. If you have any interest in Quantum Physics or Theory and a somewhat open mind it's pretty damned good.

I just got done watching Inglorious Bastards, that movie was BARELY better than Year One. My favorite movie of all time has to be The Losers.

Another movie I greatly liked was District 9. The props in that movie had to of been the best ever.

Inglorious Basterds as bad as year one, but your favorite movie is the Losers?

You do not know how movies work.
The Losers was painfully cliched with the stupid "super badasses betrayed" thing. The characters never seemed to interest me, and the only really good points were the directing and the acting, neither of which make up for the fact that it's an unoriginal, mildly stupid, and mediocore. It doesn't hurt that it's based on a comic book, and basically a slightly better A-Team.

*Achem* The Losers was better in my opinion because it contained distinct characters you could actually remember, more action than talking, and it also didn't feature some satanic gore scenes. Don't call The Losers cliched when Inglorious Bastards was the exact same thing. Another mild attempt at a movie where people try to assassinate Hitler. Inglorious Bastards had WAY too much talking and not enough action, not very distinct characters, and at points, the characters talking was inaudible.

How opinions usually work on the internet:

Unless it's something SO well known as being (insert adjective here) [IE: Superman 64 is probably the worst game ever], someone's always going to disagree with you, so move on and stop bashing each other.

I don't intend on carrying it on from there, no matter how much I want to. Any posts attempting to continue the little... disagreement, I will simply ignore.

Riiiiiiiiiiight moving on, I would have to say my favorite movie would have to be Spirited Away. I really need to see more Miyazaki stuff.

Oh, if I need to pick a "lol not ghey annie may" movie, I guess I'd go with 5th element. Good original Sci-Fi's are few and far between.

I'm a legitimate Pulp Fiction fan.

I mean 'legitimate' by the fact that I watched the entire movie beginning to end as a child, not because I saw the Hamburger scene on youtube.
I believe Youtube ruined Pulp Fiction by turning it into a meme. Its too good of a movie to be that underrated.
But thats just my opinion

Did you even watch the movie?
The characters were far from undistinct and unmemorable, the Losers characters are literally in every single bad action movie, the characters could be easily heard, (you must have torrented it or something), and honestly? How many killing hitler movies have hilter die? And how many are more focused on the story then "hurr durr hitler is bad." The Americans were hardly portrayed as good guys too, another thing faaar different then your average movie. I can't understand how people could have disliked the talking, especially since it was fantastic, intense, and pretty much in every Tarantino movie.

Look broski, when you show up in the thread and insult my opinion, I'm not going to your honor yours, or your bullshit attempt at being the big boy.

He's referring to the "Royale with Cheese" discussion. I'd hardly call it a meme, more of a really famous scene than anything. I've heard it quoted a lot, but never used in the meme sense of "lulz i sayd meme, i internetz coolz"

I doubt when a movie has like 20 minutes of action and 2 hours of talking, it qualifies as a good movie.

All comedies, dramas, romance, and artistic films are all bad movies. I hope you're taking notes class, there will be a quiz and all those who disagree with tampa will fail it.

That was a great movie, but I couldn't really believe Sean Connery as an Irish American.

indie movies. : D
love em.
mainstream anything seriously sucks. so much hype over nothing.

still going to have to stick with either Almost famous or Catch Me If You Can. both are equally great in my book.

all action movies = just another movie involving a gun wielding badass. he can shoot anyone with 100 percent accuracy in any and every situation EXCEPT the main antagonist he is is trying to kill. Thus, the whole movie drags out in a pathetic attempt at creating a story.
it's kind-of a rule for action movies these days.

this might be true a lot of the time, but not always.

Sometimes there's a group of gun wielding badasses!
