Is there not a photography thread on here?
I didn't see one, so I'm starting one.
Pictures you've taken, not photoshopped stuff, just straight from the camera.

These are just a few from my Flickr (

I need to start taking more pictures. I need some inspiring spark of picture taking to hit me.
I do what I can with my Polaroid t1031, I really want a Canon Rebel or Olympus Pen though.

I really wish I could post here or the more obviously placed "Pictures not of yourself". but sadly I do not own a camera worthy of taking good pictures.

Well that would be good for z0th, that's what I made this for. Also, Beetle, my camera isn't great either, I don't have an SLR. I just do it as a hobby.

me too.
any camera is capable of taking great pics! took this with a Canon A560 P&S cam hacked with CHDK to shoot in RAW mode (in camera jpeg engines are teh suck).

I have no Idea if this really fits here, but I took this picture of my cat a while ago. I think the slight blur makes it look kind of like a painting

I like Canon cameras as well, the Polaroid I have was a Christmas gift, so whenever I get a job/money, I want to invest in a Canon Rebel.
I also just realized, I have a Canon A560, so i'll probably put the CHDK on it, and see what I can do.

I have a minolta from the 50's but it's been a little hard getting my hand on the batteries for it.
These were taken with a little older digital camera.
I really wanna get a new dslr

what model? ive got a minolta F-Series from the 70's. quite a few of the older cameras use mercury-based batteries. luckily, mine have a alkaline alternative that i can use. there might be one for yours too. in some cases, you can build conductive shims for modern batteries as well.

hack that nonsense! CHDK is great! it doesnt take up much room on your flash, and hacking the firmware is completely non-destructive. having a P&S cam that you can use to shoot in RAW mode has been a real boon.
FYI, you can decode Canon CR2 RAW files to JPEG from the P&S cams with
Raw Therapee. from there you can dump them into whatever post processing software you want.

At least you took a picture that depicts culture and is quite humorous.

It might be kind of racist, but my assumptions led me to believe that is in Detroit.
