Intro
Hi there. Im Fool, or you may know me by Dr.Killshot. You may have seen me on the server before, but I am new to the forums. My name is Dr.Killshot for a reason, I am a great battle medic, so I Thought I would share my knowledge of the medic with the rest of you.
Weapons
Primary: This is your main damage dealer, it shoots fast and accurately. The needles however travel slowly, so you will need to learn how to lead you enemies, dont where they are, shoot where they will be. It sounds odd but you will learn how your enemies move eventually and you will then know where to shoot for maximum damage. Be sure to always watch your ammo as it runs out fast.
Blutsauger vs. Needle gun... Both of these are excellent damage dealers with only slight differences, The Bloodsucker heals you in combat while the needle gun heals you out of combat. I always have both ready to change on the fly to react to the game around me.
Secondary: This is why you are called a medic. This is the fabled healing weapon. It is quite the versatile tool. You can extend your teams survivability, or you can tank a friendly with it. It is always a good idea to heal woundeds with it. You heal them more efficiently and you build your uber faster. KritzkriegvsMedigun... Both of these have the same abilities to heal, but a different form of uber. The medigun turns people invincible, and the kritzkrieg give people crits. Both charges can be used to devastating effect if used correctly. Turn a heavy invincible and you got yourself a mighty fine roadblock. Invinc a demo or soldier and go crazy with the explosives. Putting crits on a heavy works wonders too, it completely eliminates damage drop off so your dps goes way up. Giving crits to a sniper is a very underused technique, being able to noscope anything with under 150 hp is a blessing.
Melee: Your melee weapon will seldom be used as a medic, but it has great potential. It has high damage and medium speed. A crit will take out anything but a heavy or a soldier. I find that it is best to use melee when attacking someone who is unaware of your presence, they will die before they know what hit em.
Uber vs Bonesaw The bonesaw swings faster, but the Ubersaw charges your uber, I prefer to always use the ubersaw, I know it has less dps, but it helps so much in getting your uber + the slower swing helps you learn how to better aim for your opponent. The ubersaw is especially effective when used in chain ubering.
Tips
1. Always be ready to change on the fly, If there is no need for a healbot, switch into your combat medic gear.
2. Learn how to lead your target, maximize your DPS.
3. Chainuber-spawntrapping is an easy way to win on any game mode.
4. Earrape.
5. If your medic buddy abandons you let the bastard die.
6. be prepared to yell at people.
7. Earrape
8. Buy a mouse with a high polling rate so you can deploy your uber while under fire.
9. Never push without a medic buddy.
10 last but not least, Earrape.
