In order to get more people to post on the forum I am starting a contest. Anyone who has at least 50 forum posts by 11:59 PM on January 31st will be entered into a drawing for your choice of any item in the steam store worth up to $30. Once a winner is selected, I will announce who has won and contact them via either steam or a forum PM and ask that person what they would like.

This contest is NOT limited to calculatedChaos members so everyone should join in on the fun.

In addition, if we receive $50 in donations between now and the end of the contest I will raise the prize value to $50 and will add another server for calculatedChaos. Once the donation level is met, I will start a poll with possible options for new calculatedChaos servers and members of the forum will be able to vote on what we should spend our money on next. Right now I am thinking either another TF2 server or a L4D server.

Also, don't make bullshit forum posts. I read everything that is posted on the forum and if your post is garbage or I start to see a pattern of you saying the same thing in every thread, I will just start deleting you posts. You have almost 3 weeks to qualify so try and spread it out a bit.

It's total posts, not new posts since yesterday. You should already be pretty close.

That way people who are already active in the community don't have to do much but it encourages those who aren't very active to participate.

Okay then I need a few moar! I don't know what game I would possibly want on steam. I would probably want Gary's Mod. But that's only 10 bucks so someone else could have the other 20.

A few days before you used that .gif as your sig, I was considering using it for myself. It's one my favorite .gifs ever

i would probbaly get for $30 mass effect. but if it gets raised to $50 then i will get L4D or fallout 3

A couple people have asked me how I will pick a winner. The short answer is that I will be selecting a winner at random.

The long answer is that I will compile a list of everyone who qualifies and then write a program to output one winner. I guess that wasn't that long.

Anyway, once you get at least 50 total posts you have just as much of a chance as everyone else who has met the criteria does. Posting more or sucking up won't make you any more likely to win than anyone else. If you want to try, I really like cookies and if you PM me I will give you my address I won't turn down free cookies.

Just imagine I'm playing the worlds smallest violin for you right now. When I lived in Connecticut we have a snow removal business with a route that took about 12-14 hours to complete. On that route it was my job to clear everyone's driveway and sidewalks and make sure to check all the corners of the truck on the really precarious driveways. Many times we would get a storm that would cause us to go out more than once because enough snow would fall that we would need to start the route again to keep the driveways clear.

I've sat in that truck for 36 hours straight getting in and out of it, shoveling snow in the freezing cold then jumping in the warm truck, letting the snow melt and get all nice and wet and then jumping right back out in the cold again.

I laugh at your little 100' driveway.

BTW I didn't get paid a dime but I did it or my dad kicked my ass... easy decision really.
