I'm sick of it.

Calculated Chaos is a great gaming community, I must say. There's no doubt about it. However, there's a major flaw in it. It's the fact that people complain and moan every single they hear a high voice. I mean, I understand when people with such a voice yell into to they mic and/or repeat everything they say three or four times, but I get lashed out against, and sometimes even muted, when I just first start to talk. Even if I'm calmly trying to explain something to some one, I get yelled at, "Shut up you ****ing 5 year old!" "Shut up you little kid!" or "stfu surnem. stfu surnem. stfu surnem..."(typed into the chat every second I'm talking, and yes, those are all actual quotes directed at me). I understand this is a small minority, but it becomes hard to have fun when you know there's someone who hates you no matter how hard you try.

I can see why my voice might be irritating, but the more you interrupt, the more I have to keep repeating myself, and the more I have to talk. Also, I didn't mention any names in my post (except mine in a quote) so if you feel offended by this post, that says more about you than me. ;)

It feels so good to vent sometimes...

Everyone gets muted. If you have a high voice it's annoying and unfortunately you should probably type more. If a good amount of people are annoyed by your voice, while they should be respectful, they shouldn't have to hear it.

It might just be that you should type some things. It may also be that after a while, people will get to know you and they won't mute you so much.

Just try not to take it so hard. Everyone gets muted sometimes. Everyone gets kicked sometimes. It happens.

Thanks Captain Angry, I felt I was being treated unfairly, which I guess I wasn't. Thanks for explaining.

If someone is annoyed with your voice, they should mute you. but not mute you from the entire SERVER. kay nuff said.

Yes but if half of the server is annoied by your voice then why wouldn't you mute them from the server? We just need to use votemute more.

OHH it's votemute? I always thought it was votekick. :P Well don't worry. If people start complaining I'll call a votemute.

About a week ago votemute was missing from the funServer. I have no idea why, and I'm not sure if it's still gone or not.

Thursday gets muted everytime someone gets a chance. And he doesn't have a high pitched voice. I think, because he barely ever talks. So I'm not sure why he gets muted, he just does.

Maybe he used to talk but got trained not too. Either way it's a mystery and I'll probably never know why, or care. But I will always vote to mute him when it's the 3rd vote option and you should too. That's just the way it is.

Wow, I didn't expect this many good responses (I'm not trying to call anyone a jerk) on a thread that was mostly me letting off steam.

the only reason why im ever muted is because of mic spam.

we are annoyed because tf2 is a rated M game and kids shouldn't be playing M games...

What I am annoyed by is not the person's voice, but if he/she keeps using the mic for irrelevant things. It is a M for "Mature" game, people should at least act mature.

I got muted a bunch before I got admin for no real reason, and it just continues - I just unmute myself after people do it.

I don't talk as much as I used to, it's just a running gag. Same reason I get kicked a bunch.

GOOD GOOD. While we're on the subject, or close to it... I'm getting tired of a certain group of people. (rather, hearing about them) You know who. If someone, or some people, came to your mind upon mentioning.. That should tell you something.
I don't mind it if you can be somewhat nice about muting those of a younger mind, but when you boost your ego on your so-called "dominion" over people... Get a life. Seriously.
If you get your butt-buddies to share a hearty laugh with you after kicking a child, or you just feel good about bullying some little kid, go fuck yourself.
"Be nice" won't cover what I wanna say to some people in this clan. If I'm too vague on this, I apologize. But hopefully there are some here who share my sympathy.
Get with the concept.

As you mature you will find that people that swear a lot are ignored. If you want to get a serious discussion going do it without the profanity.

If you knew me, at all for that matter, you'd know swearing isn't accustomed to me. That says something.

Dantego has a point on how to be publicly accepted, which is doing nothing but detracting from what Blue said. He did apologize after saying what he did in his post...which is a lot more than who he is addressing would ever do.
But since you all insist on it being clean (and serious: internet, after all), here is a summary of what was said:

Don't abuse power or talk a big game just because you have admin powers or age (bass in voice) on someone.

A simple thing of courtesy that should not be ignored just because you are offended by language.

Lol, shut your mouth, Divine. I believe "Don't blow me off" is another way of saying "Don't change the subject".
My point still stands, in my opinion.
