Some weeks ago, I recorded the wonderful Engyville (Funserver).
I thought I'd put the .dem files on the forums, so you're free to edit it how you like.

Wacky_races_v2
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Today, we had some more fun on the funserver, with an awesome guitar concert!
Jump_tholos
Part 1

Well first off, there is a submissions board. And second it will be a few days before I can look at these and determine if they are acceptable. But thank you for your support. Also we are going to be using wegame as a standard for recording. A tutorial will be up shortly.

Keep in mind that you can record a video with wegame from a .dem file. The tutorial will also apply to those. Demo files are great, especially if you can't record videos because of computer performance.

I've decided to record it myself to avi using the Source Recorder, which seems to work fine.
I'll upload the files when I'm done.

One problem with this thread: Some of you fail to realize that on jump_tholos has specified sentry placements which most of you never go by Toasty likes it the way the Engy Bros Started it.
2: Wacky Races has a special spot toasty picked out as his own which you all are always building on

my work here is down

Trilby out.

"Engyville" is a silly idea and not such a big deal, it's not hard to get people and build sentries on a map, AND TOASTY'S NOT THAT BIG A DEAL!!!! I swear it's like everyone on the fun server has started worshipping him

Back to Zamboni's question.

to record a demo type "record <desired file name>" into console, it will start recording once you close the console, it will not record anytime you type in chat, only the output after you press enter, it will also not record your developers console if you open it while recording.

when ready to end the recording, simply type "stop" in console, it will output the amount of time in minutes and frames that the recording takes.

to view a recorded demo, from the title screen type "playdemo <desired file name>" into console. it will start playing from the beggining.

here's a tip: when recording the game will be recorded at your current resolution, but when being played back you can change the resolution to anything you want. So to maximum FPS record on a super low resolution to ensure little to no player lag, then after the recording is done crank the resolution up, the demo will be in the high resolution that you probably can not achieve when actually playing the game.

something to add - it will also not record the person's voice that is recording.

If you want t be heard in the recording, go ahead and type "voiceloopback_1" in the console.
