Whenever they have these steam sales and I decide to get a game that has a 4 pack, I usually buy a 4 pack. Because of this I usually have extra copies of things waiting to be sent out.

I'm looking for ideas (or really any excuse to) give away my two remaining copies of Borderlands and my three remaining copies of Left 4 Dead 2. Post any ideas you may have. Who knows, I might just pick random people out of this thread to give the games to.

Oh, and with the steam sale going until the 4th with new games showing up on sale daily, chances are I will have more things to give away very soon.

is this partially the reason some people get random games from you captain?

I do like the idea of a video contest. It doesn't necessarily have to be a griefing video contest specifically but griefing videos would get my vote.

It's part of the reason. I am definitely more likely to buy random games for people when there is a sale on steam. I am pretty impulsive when it comes to that kind of thing.

I'm not really too fussed to be honest with you. If you randomly feel like giving me a game it would be Borderlands that I would prefer as L4D2 is really a horror game and I'm not into horror.
Video wise, I'm completely out, I don't have anything to record video with, nor do I have a computer powerful enough to play a game AND record it at the same time. A new computer would go down much better than a game

Its not horror, especially after you've played it for a few hours. ..just saying. its not like silent hill or anything. no surprises

In the market for borderlands myself... Ill keep an eye out for whatever contest is initiated

I think we should have a contest in which whoever posts in this thread first wins.

Well strictly speaking Beetle, Captain himself created the thread and posted the first post, so he would win, not you, so basically you fail.

A video contest doesn't seem fair if everyone can't do it. However, assuming that we were to do a video contest I'm not a fan of a griefing video. For one I find griefing stupid most of the time, and two people already have video of that, make it something unique so everyone starts fresh the results will be more intersting.

Put me in for a copy of borderlands.

Contest is who can travel around the world the fastest. I have my horse ready.

and ppl who were given something last time are disqualified.

If you do decide to giveaway something, you could have a raffle with peoples names who are interested in the games. Put their names in a hat and just draw one at random.

I'm good for either should it be random picking. My idea is tag team tournament in tf2. The duo that wins, gets to pick who gets what game. If I happen to obtain either game through means of this contest, I'll post a pic of me eating McNuggets.

If its a contest, see who can stay in the funserver the longest without going mad. The map must be melee_checkers_v3. Or koth_always (if its always, LaN and rudedog automatically win though, they have training on that map :\ )
Or some other map that is really hard to stand for a couple hours.

Of course, it could be whoever comes up with the best contest idea wins, as I believe someone already posted...

Seriously though, I'd be up for that 2Vs2 ladder match Tampa was talking about. Whoever partnered with me would get both games since I have them, though.

You can bypass the AFK kicker? (Other than by using +forward and +right)
