I need to get stereo mix to work on my laptop so I can have audio from a demo I recorded on TF2 and I have tried EVERYTHING to get it to work, I've updated all my drivers, did show disconnected and disabled, tried audacity (which I ALSO need stereo mix for I guess >=( ), etc.

HELP ME PLEASE

I don't see why you need Stereo Mix in order to record/play/convert TF2 demos. I once read that there are special things you have to do in order to record the sound, but it's all in your record config, not at all in your driver settings.

I'm re-recording it using wegame and to do that I need Stereo Mix so I can get the sound, I tried using audacity to record the sound but it needs stereo mix too

Whats the sound card?

Laptop or desktop?

its a Presario CQ50-139MW Laptop

and the sound card is either: Conexant High Definition Smart Audio 221 or Intel(R) High Definition Audio HDMI (not completely sure)

i had the same problem. you need to go into your services and start your sound service then reboot. ez fix.

I've looked everywhere in the services a few times and I can't find the sound service
