I tested this out today. Need to shrink a little, lower and turn off specular during compile.
Funny thing was I just got on a random birthday server and all I saw was pyros and they kept killing me while I tried to get a screenie, they were probably like ' this guys a squid'


I originally made it for Zero Gear as seen below in a ps'ed screenie. The skeleton is marshmonkey's (one of the game devs). The moustache and sardine cart are mine.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna make a mexican themed bday gib pack to go with it.

The game is somewhat limited in custom content. I'd love to be able to assign custom hats but all that can be done is overriding the hats you've aquired if any.
No biggie, you can always delete the custom files and it'll revert to the standards. You just have to use the name.

I could compile it to override any of the hats, right now it just overrides the bday hat.

The gib pack would be awesome. I am looking forward to this.

Nooo get the bunny ears pack. I forget the link, just loook it up on FPSBanana.

It's all client side Hanzo.

So If I have the sombrero installed and birthday mode is turned on I see sombreros. If you have bunny ears you'll see bunny ears on everyone.

I'll get this up in a few days and anyone who wants to use it can, I don't think a server could force them on all players.

I might end up packing some of this stuff in my maps though. Then if birthday mode is turned on everyone during that map would be like WTF? LOL.

I think I'm gonna get rid of the nachos on this, Easy enough to have either version, but I think the nachos are better in Zero Gear. Or maybe for a rat map.

Also tryng to think of gibs to use.
For the 'cinco de mayo' pack (my birthday) it'll probably be a taco, a pinyata, maybe a small cactus...
need ideas.
There are 4 gibs so I need one or two good ideas.

I could. It looks really good on the demo imo. With his dark skin and grenade belt he really looks like pancho villa

Funny though, I had kindof dropped this for awhile, stopped by the 2f2f forums and saw a post 'sombreros everywhere'. One of the regs got on another server (that has orient on it) and saw everyone wearing somebreros. But the screens were in another map, I don't think the files extract from a bsp manually, so maybe someone there extracted them.
Was funny to see it pop up like that since I didn't 'release' a hat pack.

I'll try and get the mexican bday pack up soon. And I'll upload a vers of it for the pyro specifically too.
If anyone wants one for the other characters just let me know. (I have to export one for each character to name the file correctly, I don't think manually renaming them without export will work).

just jumped over to the voogru forums and saw someone made a script to be able to add a party hat in game and you have options, santa hat, bunny ears, bday hat and an rgb code to change colors. Might be cool to see if we could use the feature to add hats, screw valve.
