Think it was me Tomm. Hurtme permabanned me and it took Trilby,Rudedog,and Divine to get me unbanned.

Generic, I think you kinda deserved that one. You speed hack every time your on the funserver.

hacking is a permaban offense.

Ban people for 24 hours or something. There is almost nothing you can do that will get you banned forever around here but a few 24 hour bans to some regulars should get the point across.

I have to agree with captain...but generaic constantly speed hacks, causing a lot of people to rage quit the server. While I dont think that permaban is the right answer, something needs to be done to keep him from speedhacking.

I completely agree with this rule. Only once have I hit the permaban button, and it was pure accidental, and it turned out it was only a few hour ban anyway. Sure I've banned someone for like 30mins as a vote quite recently, he was some non-English speaking team killing kid who annoyed everyone on breakfloor by making large holes and putting everyone he could into them.

I even had an aregument with TgameP over whether to permaban someone that is cheating, say using aimbot. I said we should at least ask them to stop and spectate them to see if they did, if they didn't then ban them. He mildly agreed with this. But anyway, what I would like to know is how to ban for a certain time limit, cos apparently low admins can ban for like 60mins or "perma" by menu, and 30mins by vote.

If it was only a 30 min ban, it wasn't a permaban.

There definitely needs to be consequences to unruly actions, but I also agree that if you don't know what you are doing don't do it. I don't know the commands or how to get to them so if someone is spamming the mic or whatever, I ask someone else to stop them. The least I can do is warn em.......btw I need to figure out how to use the commands lol :P

To be honest, I think the permanent ban hammer should only be given to high admins. If you 24 hour ban someone for whatever reason, they may think its a permanent ban and not come back.

Speaking of permabans, can my friend cookiesFTW be unbanned from the funserver? He was permabanned a while ago because his friend was on his computer, and micspammed the infamous "can you guys hear me alright?" spam. Next thing he knew, he was banned...

my god that was a long time ago. back when there were micspams

hell i believe i banned him for that. he will not be unbanned for many reasons, but if we ever do get micspams again (which will probably not ever happen for a very long time) i might reconsider.
