Might pick it up. Might not.

I more than likely won't pick it up. Don't get me wrong I liked Portal, but it was really only a one shot game for me and did not have much of a replay value. So I would be anticipating Portal 2 to be roughly the same thing. (Unless it is cheap enough then I might pick it up and play)

Valve said that its going to be a 'full game' this time.

If I'm not mistaken didn't they also say that episode 1/2 were going to be longer than halflife 2?

Yeah... anyways. I'd get it

This one will have Co-op if you're into that.

One person controls the blue portal, one controls the orange.

A whole new level of complicated.

Co-op portal sounds fun on paper i think. gonna be interesting to see what they do with it. I'm gonna wait before i buy it i think. Valve's been one to disappoint lately. :(

Well I'm confused by what you mean by "full game" for a start. And co-op in Portal would be ok if you had like really hard bits, or achievments that you can only get by playing co-op, that would make it better. As for the one person controlling only one Portal, that would just suck.

Valve could maybe make it so that you can only get 2 people in co-op and that the "host" had the normal colours of Portals and the "helper" had different colours for Portals, but they both worked the same way as a normal Portal gun, e.g. each player would use their own Portals. I think I would get it, cos I liked Portal 1, I played the flash version first then got the full version and I was slightly gutted to begin with that you couldn't create both Portals at the start. I will wait for it to come down in price after release, I hardly ever buy anything at full price.

"...Find a companion for the upcoming Cooperative Portal Testing Initiative."

Co-op is confirmed for Portal 2. Now all we have to do is look for companions for it.

I'm pretty sure the world needs this game.

Also, have you guys seen the Portal 2 boycott? It's pretty funny.

Watching that video makes me want it even more now, it looks good. I'd like to have a new awesome computer to play it on before it is released tho, just to get the most out of the game.

As all I can say is that I hope that this portal has much more of a story, other then, "Do this challenge, now this challenge, now kill this robot, now you win!" I want a portal game with maybe some actual character development.

portal 2 will be awsome, but this leaves me to wonder.. What about half life 3!

Re: Portal 2

Half-life 3 will more than likely never happen. Gordon's story is supposed to end with Episode 3. They'll probably just make expansions telling Barney and friends stories while Gordon was whacking shit with a crowbar.

This does not detract from the fact that Portal 2 will require me to change my pants the night before it's released.
